Shots Fired: Range Tracker
Effective Date: June 20, 2026
Last Updated: July 29, 2026
OTC MVP LLC (“we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the Shots Fired: Range Tracker mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.
1. Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Firearm profiles - names, types, calibers, and configuration details you enter
- Session data - round counts, reloads, duration, distance, ammo cost, and notes you log
- Photos - target photos you choose to attach to sessions
- Goals and maintenance records - training goals and maintenance logs you create
- Preferences - app settings such as distance unit and detection mode
Information We Do Not Collect
- We do not require you to create an account
- We do not collect your name, email address, or any personally identifying information
- We do not collect your location or GPS data
- We do not track you across other apps or websites
2. How Your Data Is Stored
The App is designed as a local-first application. All data you enter - firearms, sessions, photos, goals, and maintenance records - is stored on your device using local device storage.
We do not transmit your firearms, sessions, photos, notes, or any other data you log to our servers. Your shooting data stays on your device. The only exception is the optional, anonymous usage analytics you can choose to turn on (see Section 9), which never includes any of your shooting data.
3. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
The App offers an optional Pro subscription managed through Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat. When you purchase a subscription:
- Apple processes your payment and manages your subscription. Apple’s privacy policy applies to that transaction.
- RevenueCatmanages subscription status verification on our behalf. RevenueCat may collect anonymized purchase data to validate your subscription. RevenueCat’s privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com.
- We do not receive or store your payment card information.
4. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
| Service | Purpose | Privacy Policy |
|---|---|---|
| Apple App Store | App distribution and in-app purchases | apple.com/legal/privacy |
| RevenueCat | Subscription management | revenuecat.com/privacy |
| PostHog (US) | Anonymous, opt-in product analytics | posthog.com/privacy |
5. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at info@shotsfired.app and we will take steps to delete such information.
6. Data Security
Because your data is stored locally on your device, the security of your data depends on your device’s security settings. We recommend using your device’s built-in security features such as a passcode or biometric lock.
7. Your Rights
Since we do not collect personally identifying information, there is no personal data held by us to access, correct, or delete. Your shooting data lives on your device and can be deleted at any time by deleting the App.
If you opted into anonymous usage analytics, you can withdraw that consent at any time under Profile → Privacy in the App. Because those analytics are anonymous and not linked to your identity, they cannot be traced back to you.
If you have questions about data handled by our third-party services (Apple, RevenueCat), please refer to their respective privacy policies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Analytics
In the App (Optional, Off by Default)
The App includes optional, anonymous product analytics that are off by default. You are asked to opt in during onboarding, and you can turn it on or off at any time under Profile → Privacy → Share anonymous usage. When enabled, the App sends anonymous, aggregate usage events - for example, that a range session was logged or the upgrade screen was viewed - to PostHog (United States), tied to a random identifier rather than to you. We use it solely to understand which features are used so we can improve the App. It never includes your firearms, session data, round counts, notes, photos, location, name, or any personally identifying information; it is not linked to your identity; it is not used for advertising; and it is never sold or shared. PostHog’s privacy policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.
On the Website
This website (shotsfired.app) uses Google Analytics to measure anonymous traffic - things like page views, visit duration, and general region. We use this solely to understand how visitors find and use our site. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifying information through the website, and we never sell or share visitor data.
