No. Shots Fired is local-first. Your firearms, sessions, photos and maintenance history are stored on your iPhone. There is no sign-up, no login and no cloud account, and the app works fully offline at the range.

Yes. There's no account system, so there's no central database tying your identity to your shooting. Your log lives on your phone, not on a server. The only thing that can ever leave your phone on its own is anonymous, opt-in usage analytics (off by default), which never includes your shooting data. See the Privacy Policy and the Privacy Manifesto for the details.

Only if you opt in, and only anonymously. Analytics are off by default. If you turn them on, during onboarding or under Settings, then Share anonymous usage, the app sends a short, fixed list of events, such as that a session was logged or that the Pro screen was opened and which limit opened it. They are tied to a random ID, never to you, and never include your firearms, round counts, notes, photos, location or name. The Privacy Policy lists every event.

Every new install gets 7 days of Pro, with no sign-up and no payment details. When it ends, nothing is charged and the free plan carries on. The trial's start time is stored on your phone only.

The first gun you added stays fully active, and any others stay in the Locker with their full history, read-only. Your first goal keeps counting and others are paused. History goes back to Week and Month, and maintenance reminders stop. Nothing is deleted, and getting Pro brings it all back at once.

It can be, but it does not have to be. Pro is $19.99 a year, $2.99 a month, or $39.99 once for lifetime, with nothing to renew. Everything is paid through Apple. Subscriptions can be cancelled any time in your iPhone settings.

Never, on Free or Pro. Shots Fired is funded by Pro, not by advertising or selling your data.

Yes. Go hot and the mic counts each report, or you tap. The mic works best when you are the only shooter or the line is quiet; on a busy line, tap. Only the loudness is read; nothing is recorded. You can switch between mic and tap mid-session and it stays the same session.

Yes. Every gun has a cleaning interval in rounds, and the Locker flags the gun that is due. The maintenance log is free. Pro adds maintenance reminders on your phone, by round count or by date.

Yes, on every plan. Settings, then Export a backup, creates a file you send wherever you like, such as Files or AirDrop. Import it on another phone from Settings. On the free plan a backup can hold one gun.
